- Acca
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager; all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to remove the draw option, giving each side an equal chance of winning.
- Bankroll Management
- The strategy of deciding how much of your funds to risk on each bet to stay within your budget.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record that lists your chosen bets, the stake, and the potential payout.
- Both Teams To Score
- A market where you bet that each team will find the net at least once during the match.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle your bet before the event finishes, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet on the exact final score of a match, such as 2‑1.
- Draw No Bet
- A market where you pick a team to win; if the match ends in a draw your stake is refunded.
- Edge
- The advantage you believe you have over the bookmaker’s odds based on your analysis.
- Fold
- The number of selections in an accumulator; a five‑fold contains five picks.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the bookmaker on the total number of goals in a match, similar to over/under.
- HT/FT
- A bet that predicts the result at both half‑time and full‑time, such as a home win at both intervals.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is ongoing, with odds that update as the action unfolds.
- Juice
- The commission added to the odds by the bookmaker, also known as vigorish.
- Lay
- To bet against a specific outcome, acting as the bookmaker would.
- Odds
- The number that indicates how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- Betting on whether the total number of goals (or points) will be above or below a set line.
- Parlay
- Another term for an accumulator, a bet that links multiple selections and requires all to win.
- Payout
- The total amount of money you receive when a bet wins, including your original stake.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- System Bet
- A bet that covers multiple combinations of your selections, allowing you to win even if some picks are wrong.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting a potential edge.
- Vig
- Short for vigorish, the built‑in profit margin a bookmaker includes in the odds.
